The exuberantly brilliant filmmaker/animator Jodie Mack returns with her acclaimed and unmissable debut feature, The Grand Bizarre.

Shot in 16mm film on multiple continents over the course of many years, the film is, in Mack’s words, “a collage of textiles, tourism, language, and music” that examines the global circulation of patterns and cultural codes. Both effervescent and dreamlike, the film is full of surprising visuals and sounds in its sensorial examination of the production and consumption that underlies all aspects of our material world. (61 mins., 16mm)

"One of the most imaginative, hardest-working, and all-around best filmmakers in the game."
