Performance art duo Princess (Alexis Gideon and Michael O’Neill) join us to perform live music to their timely video concept album Out There. Described by the artists as a cross between Beyoncé’s Lemonade, the Broadway hit Hamilton, and the sound of German electro-pioneers Kraftwerk, Out There explores the role men should play during the current cultural reckoning with systemic misogyny. This sci-fi inflected project was made in collaboration with JD Samson (MEN, Le Tigre) and visual artist Jennifer Meridian. Gideon last performed at the Wex in 2012. (56 mins., 4K Digital Video).
