Batsheva Event Sold Out!
Both shows of next Tuesday's concert with Batsheva Dance Company are now sold out. "Full of joie de vivre...provocative and fulfilling."--New York Magazine

Batsheva has thrilled audiences on each visit to the Wexner Center, but this time you'll experience the passion of the outstanding Israeli dance company with particular intensity and intimacy. For Mamootot ("mammoth" in Hebrew), the audience is seated close to the action on all four sides of the dance space. Master choreographer Ohad Naharin dissolves the boundary between audience and performers, inviting you to see a world of seductive sensuality and compelling mystery from the inside. Mamootot is the first work Naharin choreographed after his wife's death and a year-and-a-half-long hiatus from the company, and he's stripped it down to essentials in set, lighting, and costumes. Nine gifted dancers generate an atmosphere of erotic heat and a spellbinding sense of wonder that flows in and around you to your lasting delight.

Recommended for mature audiences.

This presentation at the Wexner Center is funded in part by the Arts Endowment of the Columbus Jewish Foundation.
