For more than 30 years, master drummer Jack DeJohnette has been one of the leading figures in jazz, working alongside giants such as John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Charles Lloyd, and Keith Jarrett. In the early 1970s he began his 25-year association with ECM records, where he has performed on over 40 recordings to date as a leader or special guest artist.

Throughout his stellar career, DeJohnette has been known for his passion for blurring musical boundaries, incorporating concepts from jazz, blues, and rock, as well as Native American music and other wide-ranging forms. His recently developed Latin band features Don Byron on clarinet, Edsel Gomez on piano, and Jerome Harris on bass, with the spicy percussion support of Giovanni Hidalgo and Luisito Quintero. Together with these terrific musicians, he has ignited a newfound love for the Latin jazz genre. Don't miss one of the highlights of our jazz season when Jack DeJohnette and his all-star band rev up the rhythms.
