The Joy Formidable, a Welsh trio now based in London, have built an international buzz with darkly ominous fuzz-toned slabs of sound riding sugar-sweet melodies. A Balloon Called Moaning, their hotly tipped debut EP, let loose a host of breakout tunes such as "Popinjay," "Cradle," and "Austere."
