An Iliad

Presented by CATCO in partnership with the Wexner Center for the Arts

A graphic illustration of an amphitheater with the words An Iliad overlaid.

The Wex is thrilled to partner with CATCO for this contemporary interpretation of Homer’s Greek epic, presented at Ohio State’s picturesque Browning Amphitheater overlooking Mirror Lake.

Join us outdoors and in person to experience theater at its best—intimate, insightful, and urgent. In this adaptation of Homer’s Iliad directed by CATCO Artistic Director Leda Hoffmann, one actor and one musician present the ancient tale of Achilles, Agamemnon, and the fall of Troy in an enthralling interpretation razed and reborn for our time. Still relevant, this stunning story explores beauty and kinship even in the midst of war. Are we fated to hear it forever?

Program approx. 90 mins. with no intermission.
ASL services will be available at the July 22 performance.

Please note:

  • All tickets must be purchased in advance.
