"The greatest songwriter of his generation."--Time Out New York

Genius tunesmith Stephin Merritt and his acclaimed band Magnetic Fields are performing a limited number of live dates following the release of their new recording, i...and we've got one of them.
The new CD marks Magnetic Fields' first release in five years and their first for Nonesuch Records. Its biting wit and bittersweet mood signal the most personal approach Merritt has taken to date—a departure from the multitude of perspectives at play on Magnetic Fields' magnum opus, 69 Love Songs.

Eschewing synthesizers for this outing, the band performs intricate acoustic passages on ukulele, cello, guitar, banjo, and piano, framing Merritt's smart wordplay with deft understatement.

Leftfield violinist and vocalist Andrew Bird opens the show with a set of his inimitably timeless songs.

Member tickets on sale April 26.
Tickets go on sale to the public May 3.
