"A memorable emotional landscape of images."—Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Japanese dance theater ensemble Pappa Tarahumara creates captivating imagistic vistas and transports audiences with the sweep of its deeply poetic vision. Named for a gentle communal tribe from Mexico, the artistic collective is led by Hiroshi Koike, who skillfully integrates dance, singing, and acting skills in his talented troupe. The atmospheric seaside village that is Ship in a View's set offers a microcosm of society and becomes a metaphor for Koike's charming take on everyday life, as well as a point of departure for fantastic travels. Pappa Tarahumara fills the stage with widescreen spectacles of surprise and delight, as the company unveils the full dimension of its unique artistry and worldview.

Presented by the Wexner Center in association with BalletMet Columbus.
