Please note: Holiday Sauce… Pandemic! contains adult themes and is intended for mature audiences.
We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully. If you have questions about accessibility or require an accommodation such as captioning or ASL interpretation to participate in this event, please contact Accessibility Manager Helyn Marshall at email@example.com or via telephone at (614) 688-3890. Requests made by two weeks in advance will generally allow us to provide seamless access, but the Wexner Center for the Arts will make every effort to meet requests made after this date.
Featuring the multitalented Taylor Mac, Holiday Sauce… Pandemic! blends music, film, burlesque, and random acts of fabulousness to reframe the songs you love and the holidays you hate.
The 2020 Ibsen Award winner and MacArthur Fellow joins longtime collaborators Machine Dazzle (design), Matt Ray (music director), and Pomegranate Arts (producers) to celebrate the holidays in all of their dysfunction. There’s more to the season than rampant capitalism and gift giving, and in Mac’s world, creativity and imagination are their own spirituality. With this virtual vaudeville, Taylor Mac reminds us of the collective power of our chosen families, a message that rings true in this distinctly bittersweet holiday season.
