We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully. If you have questions about accessibility or require an accommodation such as captioning or ASL interpretation to participate in this event, please contact Accessibility Manager Helyn Marshall at accessibility@wexarts.org or via telephone at (614) 688-3890. Requests made by two weeks in advance will generally allow us to provide seamless access, but the Wexner Center for the Arts will make every effort to meet requests made after this date.
For this edition of Wex[EP], Columbus-based alternative rock band snarls presents its effervescent debut album, Burst, as a long-form video featuring visual storytelling from its members. May I Burst? invites you into the emotional rollercoaster that is...Burst. The band introduces the evening and participates in a live Q&A during the presentation.
snarls is Chlo White (vocals, guitar), Riley Hall (bass, vocals), Mick Martinez (guitar), and Max Martinez (drums). The four met through childhood friendships and school, and in December 2017 formed the group. After releasing a self-titled EP in June 2018, snarls spent the next two years playing crowded basements and bars, as well as touring the Midwest and eastern United States. In March of 2020, the band partnered with Take This To Heart Records to release Burst, a collection of coming-of-age stories wrapped in shimmering guitars and whimsical harmonies.

More about Wex[EP] As today’s vocabulary has expanded to include “social distancing” and “essential businesses,” the Wex has entered into a conversation with some of our favorite artists to bring you Essential Performances.
With a nod to the short-form, often experimental nature of extended-play records, the Wex[EP] series seeks to document a facet of each artist’s practice and explore innovative ways of communing with one another during this rupture of routine.
Join us this fall as we chart a better tomorrow with the thinkers, players, movers, and makers to whom we continue to look for joy and inspiration. If you are able, please consider supporting each artist by using the links located on this page.
