The Wexner Center is now accepting entries for the 14th annual Ohio Short Film & Video Showcase. Last year’s crowd witnessed 18 short works by artists from across the state. Deadline for entries is Friday, March 27. The Showcase is Saturday, May 9 at 7 pm at the Wexner Center.
Pieces must be independently produced, no longer than 20 minutes, and produced in Ohio within the last 18 months. Entries must be submitted on 1/2” VHS videotape, mini-DV, or DVD. Any format of film or video may be submitted. Only one entry per person. Works submitted to previous showcases will not be accepted. As in previous years, a Youth Division of the Showcase for producers age 18 and younger will be held the same day. Deadline for entries for this division is also March 27. Full guidelines can be found here, and entry forms can be downloaded here. This year’s Youth Division work will screen at 4:30 pm on May 9 and will include a reception. Prizes will be awarded to the top youth-produced work.
