Artist Tobias Putrih discusses his work and projects such as Majestic, a sculptural environment that doubles as a cinematic viewing space and is on view as part of Six Solos. Curator Christopher Bedford moderates the conversation, which immediately follows the Six Solos Preview Brunch for members. The gallery with this piece will be open after the talk, so you can see how the Putrih's comments apply to this new project. Born in Slovenia and now based in Boston, Mass., Putrih first attracted international attention in the 2002 edition of the Manifesta European art biennial. He represented Slovenia at the 2007 Venice Biennale and is currently exhibiting at the 2010 São Paulo Biennial. Architects Michael Meredith and Hilary Sample of MOS, who worked with Putrih on this project and were previously announced as joining him for the conversation, will unfortunately be unable to attend. The free brochure accompanying this exhibition (available in late November) includes an essay and program notes on works that will screen in Majestic's viewing space by Bill Horrigan, the Wexner Center's former director of media arts and current curator at large.
