Chrissie Iles, curator of film and video at the Whitney Museum of American Art, speaks on artists' use of the moving image in installation, from the early 1960s to the present, addressing issues of materiality, temporality, and performance.
Iles has organized numerous exhibitions and film and video programs, including the critically acclaimed Into the Light: The Projected Image in American Art 1964-1977, on view at the Whitney Museum and Cleveland Museum of Art last year.
