Coffee Talks: Street Art Edition

wex grid image fill

Join GenWex, the Wexner Center’s young patrons group, and local artist Stephanie Rond for an in-depth look at our current exhibition, the acclaimed career survey Martin Wong: Human Instamatic. We’ll begin in the galleries with a tour and informal discussion through the lens of street art—a common thread between Rond’s and Wong’s work—then continue the conversation in the café over coffee and pastries.

Your ticket includes gallery admission and light refreshments. Wex members get in free!

Stephanie Rond is a Columbus-based street artist whose colorful, boldly graphic work can be seen on walls around the city, both inside and out. Rond’s art often explores feminist themes, including a series centered around the character “ghost girl,” and ranges in scale from billboards to works created for her dollhouse-based S.Dot Gallery. An advocate for making art accessible for all, Rond frequently collaborates with Pages, the Wexner Center’s arts-based literacy program.

GenWex is the Wexner Center’s young patrons’ initiative, led by a diverse collective of culturally aware, tech-savvy individuals. All GenWex programming is reflective of the center’s mission and vision and is designed to be equally social and educational, providing a provocative collection of unique experiences for the young and artistically inclined.
