David Reinfurt: In *Real-Time*

Join us for a free talk with David Reinfurt, an accomplished graphic designer and writer who is one-half of Dexter Sinister (with Stuart Bertolotti-Bailey), one-third of The Serving Library (with Bertolotti-Bailey and Angie Keefer), and the only member of O-R-G inc.

Starting as a small workshop on the Lower East Side of Manhattan in 2006, Dexter Sinister is known for its innovative projects created with and for contemporary art institutions, as well as the arts magazine Dot-Dot-Dot. Running counter to the pitfalls of large-scale publishing, the collaborative sought to achieve a “just-in-time” model of print production—working on-demand, utilizing local cheap machinery, and collapsing the roles of editing, design, production, and distribution into one efficient activity. The Serving Library continues this effort, publishing a semiannual journal and circulating PDF publications through its website. The lead designer for the New York City MTA Metrocard vending machine interface, Reinfurt founded the small graphic design and software company O-R-G in 2000. He currently teaches at Princeton University and his work is included in the permanent collections of The Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in New York, as well as the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. He is the 2016–17 Mark Hampton Rome Prize fellow.
