This program with artist and filmmaker Eija-Liisa Ahtila, whose film installation Consolation Service is on view in Away from Home, has been canceled.
Although Eija-Liisa Ahtila's artist's talk has been canceled, her installation Consolation Service remains on view in Away from Home. This poignant look at the break up of young couple and their home won acclaim at the 1999 Venice Biennale. Like many of Ahtila's moving, often surreal film/video installations, it explores human relationships through narratives drawn from her research into and observation of actual events.
