Landscape Confection Artists Panel

wex grid image fill

Artists featured in the Landscape Confection exhibition gather for this wide-ranging discussion of their work and the themes of the show.

Panelists: Kori Newkirk, Ranjani Shettar, Lisa Sanditz, Janaina Tschape Moderator: Helen Molesworth

Kori Newkirk creates mixed-media installations that investigate history, place, and racial identity using culturally resonant materials, such as synthetic hair, wax pomade, and plastic beads.

Ranjani Shettar uses such mundane materials as wax, cotton, plastic sheeting, and PVC pipe to create installations that heighten viewers' awareness of shelter, body, and spirit.

Lisa Sanditz creates dense, colorful, tapestry-like landscapes that bring aspects of urban and suburban space seamlessly together.

Haunting, dreamlike narratives are at the heart of Janaina Tschape's works, which encompass photography, films, drawings, and installations.

Helen Molesworth, the Wexner Center's chief curator of exhibitions and curator of the show, moderates the panel.

After the discussion, join the artists in The Belmont Building galleries for a closer look at the exhibition. Later in the evening, travel to The Vault for a festive exhibition opening party for members and special guests.
