Nannette V. Maciejunes, executive director of the Columbus Museum of Art, focuses on the museum's collection as she discusses changing ideas about modern art. This lecture is part of Columbus Culture, a series of presentations sponsored by Ohio State's Institute for Collaborative Research and Public Humanities. Maciejunes, a specialist in American art, is an Ohio State alumna, having earned her master's degree in history of art from the university. She has devoted much of her professional life to the Columbus Museum, first joining its curatorial department in 1984. After serving as curator of collections and exhibitions at the Dixon Gallery and Gardens in Memphis in 1989, she returned to the CMA in 1990, becoming sucessively its curator of American art, senior curator, and director of collections and exhibitions. She was named executive director in November 2003. Columbus Culture is a series of presentations by cultural leaders in Columbus meant to help them and the campus community become more familiar with each other. This is the second talk in the series.
