Come hear filmmaker Tamra Davis talk about her experiences making movies and working with some of the top pop music acts of the past 25 years.

Davis has directed such comedy hits as Half Baked and Billy Madison and is also a prolific director of ground-breaking music videos. In this afternoon program exclusively for college and high school students, she'll introduce and discuss a selection of her videos, including Sonic Youth's "Kool Thing," Tone Loc's "Wild Thing," and the Beastie Boys' "Nettie's Girl," among others. She'll also participate in a Q & A with audience members, offering you a welcome opportunity to learn directly from a professional deeply engaged in both filmmaking and the music industry.

Students from Ohio State, Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD), other area colleges, universities, and high schools are all invited to attend this free event. Davis is in town to introduce a members' screening of her documentary Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child at the Wex this evening. (Program app. 75 mins.)

Admission is free but tickets are required and are available on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the screening at the Wexner Center's Patron Services Desk (on the entrance level). Student IDs are required to obtain tickets.
