With the biopic Pasolini, one masterful cinematic provocateur takes on another. Abel Ferrara, the artist behind notorious movie fare like Ms. 45 and The Bad Lieutenant, directs Willem Dafoe as the eponymous filmmaker Pier Paolo Pasolini, creator of the still-controversial 1975 film Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom. The film recreates Pasolini's final days, before he was violently murdered at the age of 53. It screens exclusively at the Wex Friday and Saturday, July 12–13. The trailer's below.
