In Nadav Lapid's Synonyms, a young Israeli man takes up residence in Paris, desperate to escape his past and his nationality. Called "scorching," "brilliant," and "breathtaking" by critics, the film screens at the Wex Thursday and Friday, December 12-13. The trailer's below.
