The Columbus Foundation’s Big Table event returns Friday, October 16!
The Wex is excited to join this always lively annual event to share in a day of connection and community-building. Like everything else in our lives, The Big Table looks different in 2020, but is still all about connecting to one another. This year, we’ll be hosting an online conversation between area artists/members of our Community Artist Residency Group and Wex staff about the role of art and art institutions during this time of concurrent political, cultural, and health crises. We’ll ask the questions: what should arts institutions be doing right now and towards the future? What is the role of art in our society, our community, and in times like these? Our conversation starts Friday, October 16 at 11:30 AM. Register now.
Our group will include:
Dionne Custer Edwards, Director of Learning and Public Practice, Wexner Center for the Arts Erik Pepple, Chief Communications Officer, Wexner Center for the Arts Jean Pitman, Youth, Community and Family Programs Manager, Wexner Center for the Arts Tala Kanani, artist Bobby T. Luck, artist Claudia Owusu, artist Jonna Twigg, artist You? (register now)
This event is being held as part of the Wex’s Office Hours, a weekly moment of connection for the public, artists, and members of the Wex’s Learning and Public Practice team.
