Día de los muertos 2026

Celebra el Día de los muertos con el Departamento de español y portugués [Department of Spanish & Portuguese], el Programa de estudios latines [Latinx Studies Program], el Centro de estudios latinoamericanos [Center for Latin American Studies], la Oficina de participación [Office of Engagement], y el Departamento de danza [Department of Dance] de Ohio State, en colaboración con el Wex.

Acompáñanos en este evento, que está dirigido a todas las edades. Habrá momentos de reflexión para recordar a nuestros seres queridos fallecidos, ofrendas personales (o altares), una breve lectura y firma de libros, presentaciones y manualidades. 
 
Disfruta de comida y bebidas gratis, como tamales, chocolate caliente, y el pan de muerto tradicional. 
 
Todas las personas son bienvenidas a celebrar y honrar la memoria de sus seres queridos fallecidos y a participar en esta vibrante tradición latine de raíces indígenas mesoamericanas.

Día de los Muertos Concurso de Dibujo

Te invitamos a inscribirte al quinto concurso de dibujo anual para Día de los muertos, organizado por el Center for Latin American Studies. Este concurso está abierto a niños y adultos. Este concurso presenta este día festivo a aquellos que no lo conocían y a su vez fortalecer los vínculos entre la universidad de Ohio State y las culturas latinoamericanas y latines. Celebrate Día de los muertos (Day of the Dead) with Ohio State’s Department of Spanish and Portuguese, Latinx Studies Program, Center for Latin American Studies, and the Wex.

Join us at this all-ages event for reflections about our muertos, personal ofrendas (offerings or altars), a short reading and book signing, performances, and hands-on art-making activities.

While you’re here, enjoy free refreshments including tamales, hot chocolate, and traditional pan de muerto (Mexican bread of the dead).

All are welcome to celebrate and participate in this vibrant Latin American tradition with Mesoamerican Indigenous roots.

Día de los Muertos Coloring Contest

While you’re here, enter the fifth annual coloring contest for Día de los muertos, organized by the Center for Latin American Studies. This coloring contest, open to children and adults of all ages, introduces the holiday to those unfamiliar with it while striving to strengthen the relationship between Ohio State, Latin American, and Latinx culture. Learn more. 
Drop off or mail submissions by October 30, 2026, at 7 PM to:
