Explore ways to navigate uncertain times for the arts with curator and writer Leah Triplett.
How do curators do their jobs in moments of political crisis and when funding is limited? Triplett visits campus and shares how she navigates the current moment. Learn how scholars can contextualize this crisis and the work of contemporary artists, and stay for a Q&A with Triplett after the talk.

Leah Triplett currently serves as Curator of Contemporary Art at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, where she recently organized the Philadelphia presentation of William Villalongo: Myths & Migrations and Artists as Cultivators (2024). Triplett’s writing has appeared in ArtAsiaPacific, ArtNet News, Sculpture, Flash Art, Hyperallergic, Brooklyn Rail, and others. Previously, she was a curator for Boston’s Now + There, where she commissioned and organized over 20 public, temporary, and site-specific artworks. Triplett taught critical writing in the MFA programs for painting and sculpture at Boston University from 2021 to 2023 and is the 2024–2025 Mary Ann Unger Estate Fellow.
