Subject of exhibitions and retrospectives worldwide, British-based and American-born artist Susan Hiller received support from the Wexner Center's Art & Technology program for The J.Street Project, her latest video.
A stunning meditation on the persistence of Jewish history within modern Germany, the film was born from the artist's attempt to film every street sign and place marker in the country containing the words for "Jew" and "Jewish." (2002-05; 67 mins.)

Hiller's project was supported by the European Association for Jewish Culture. Look for the book version in the Wexner Center Store.
