The Wexner Center is proud to once again host the opening day screenings for the Columbus Black International Film Festival, now in its fifth year! Join us for screenings of the recently released and acclaimed films The Weekend and Zola.

In the rom-com The Weekend, Saturday Night Live alumna Sasheer Zamata stars as Zadie, an unlucky-at-love stand-up comic who finds herself in the middle of an awkward weekend country getaway with her ex-boyfriend (Tone Bell) and his new girlfriend (DeWanda Wise of Netflix’s She’s Gotta Have It). Sparks fly with Zadie when a hunky guest (Insecure’s Y’lan Noel) arrives at the B&B, stirring jealousy with her ex and friction with his new girlfriend. (86 mins., DCP)

Join us for a Columbus Black International Film Festival Opening Night reception with a cash bar in the Wex's lower lobby 5:45–7 PM.
