Želimir Žilnik, one of the most pioneering and politically engaged filmmakers of hybrid nonfiction forms, visits Unorthodocs to present his rarely seen contemporary masterpiece.
"Logbook Serbistan is a late career masterpiece from Žilnik and one of the finest works to come out of Europe that depicts the migration crisis of the early 21st century in an honest and empathetic manner. This pair of works also includes Inventory, a short sui generis structural documentary that analyzes labor, class, and migration in West Germany in one apartment building and one shot.” —guest curator Greg de Cuir Jr.
In multiple languages with English subtitles. (program approx. 103 mins., digital video)
