Rife with surreal images and black comedy, Mars Attacks! is a sci-fi satire classic with an all-star cast.
Inspired by the 1960s Topps trading card series, the hilarious Mars Attacks! finds Earth invaded by Martians, with every attempt at peaceful overtures answered with a ray gun blast. Our civilization is lost…until the musical stylings of Slim Whitman come to the rescue.
Grier plays bus driver Louise Williams (alongside Jim Brown as her husband) who tries to keep her family together during the invasion. The all-star cast also includes Jack Nicholson, Glenn Close, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michael J. Fox, Natalie Portman, and the great Sylvia Sidney in her final role. (106 mins., 35mm)
