(Rob Reiner, 1990)

35mm print!

Amid the welcome resurgence of Stephen King adaptations, it’s a great time to return to one of the best—yet rarely revived—movies based on his writing. Misery sees a popular author (played by James Caan at his most smart-talking) fortunately rescued from a car crash by a devoted fan (Kathy Bates in an Oscar-winning performance for the ages).

Misery sees a popular author (played by James Caan at his most smart-talking) fortunately rescued from a car crash by a devoted fan (Kathy Bates in an Oscar-winning performance for the ages). But then the suspense heightens as the caregiving takes a turn...um…swing…for the worse. Come experience that scene under the stars as we return to the 1980s and 90s for our drive-in season! (107 mins., 35mm)

“Popular moviemaking doesn't get much better than this. ”
