Moana

(John Musker and Ron Clements, 2016)

Cartoon Crossroads Columbus

An animated image of a Moana and tall, muscular, tattooed man standing on a beach and holding large objects.

This beloved Disney adventure is inspired by stories from Polynesian mythology.

Moana is the headstrong daughter of the village chief who dreams of sailing beyond their island’s surrounding waters. When famine hits the island, she must travel to find the demi-god Maui to restore order to her island and people. Featuring the voices of Auli’i Cravalho as Moana and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Maui. Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa’i, and Mark Mancina created the memorable score and original songs, including “How Far I’ll Go.” (107 mins., 2K DCP)
