Two men sitting at a table facing each other with a hamburger and fries between them.

Filmmaker Jim Sikora visits with My Charbroiled Burger with Brewer, a fascinating documentary that captures a real-time conversation between celebrated punk musicians Jack Brewer and Mike Watt.

Unseen for nearly 20 years and reminiscent of Louis Malle’s classic My Dinner with Andre (1981), the film follows the free-flowing conversations between Brewer (Saccharine Trust) and Watt (Minutemen and The Stooges) as they trace the rise and decline of the punk movement. Also included in the program are a series of videos Sikora created for such bands as Urge Overkill, Tar, Mutts, the Leaving Trains, and more. A Q&A follows the screening. (program approx. 70 mins., digital video).
