A Look Back at 2023

As we reflect on a year full of memorable exhibitions, performances, screenings, talks, and parties, we're grateful to everyone who made time to join us—whether to collaborate with staff, to share work with visitors, or to take part in a new experience as an audience member. We couldn't do what we do without you.

Here's a quick look at a few of our favorite moments from the past year, including gatherings on the Plaza; installations and openings in the galleries; visiting artists such as the multidisciplinary Wex Artist Residency Award recipient Sa'dia Rehman, filmmaker Jude Chehab, and author Innosanto Nagara; and a Drawing Field work from Outpost Office (principles Ashley Bigham and Erik Herrmann are seen above in our upper lobby, along with some visitors testing out their furniture installation Color Block No. 2). 

We hope you’ve enjoyed them as much as we’ve enjoyed sharing them. We look forward to seeing you at the Wex in 2024 to enjoy more programming and to celebrate the center’s 35th Anniversary Season.
