The Cancer Journals Revisited connects over two dozen women through shared experience. Artist Audre Lord wrote The Cancer Journals in 1980 to chronicle her bout with breast cancer. Filmmaker Lana Lin was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010, and later tapped 27 writers, artists, activists, healthcare advocates, and current and former patients—including Barbara Hammer, source of the current Wex exhibition In This Body—to read from Lourde's memoir for her camera.
