A portrait of Patty Hearst by Chuck Shacochis, as seen in the 1998 John Waters film Pecker

It's almost time to say goodbye to John Waters: Indecent Exposure, but we're sending it off with a bang. On April 28, the closing day of our winter exhibitions, the Film/Video Theater will host a double feature of the artist's follow-up to Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble, and his 1998 contemporary art satire Pecker. Enjoy the trailers for both below.

But first, get to know Chuck Shacochis. Waters tapped the Baltimore photographer to take the pictures that bring art stardom to Pecker's title character, played by Edward Furlong, like the fabulous image of Waters regular Patty Hearst above. You'll find a recent essay at Aperture about Shacochis and his work for the film here, the artist's own work is on view on his website, and you can check in on him on Instagram here.
