To celebrate the final day of the John Waters: Indecent Exposure exhibition in our galleries, we’ve got a double dose of Waters’s cinematic camp—all on glorious 35mm!

Waters takes on the art world in Pecker, where a teen photographer (Edward Furlong) and his girlfriend (Christina Ricci) get discovered by the New York cognoscenti, brought to life in the film with cameos by such figures as artist Cindy Sherman. Also with Mary Kay Place, Martha Plimpton, Lili Taylor, and Waters legends Mink Stole and Patricia Hearst. (35mm, 87 mins.)

Starring his gender-defying muse Divine, Female Trouble is a perverse pinnacle of Waters’s career that melds glamour and the grotesque in a highly quotable parody of celebrity culture. This classic features the full stable of the director’s gang of Baltimore outsiders (known as The Dreamlanders), including David Lochary, Mary Vivian Pearce, and Edith Massey. (35mm, 97 mins.)
