Join Wexner Center Senior Curator of Exhibitions Michael Goodson, cocurator of HERE: Ann Hamilton, Jenny Holzer, Maya Lin, for a walkthrough of the exhibition that considers the three artists’ distinct and probing formal vocabularies.

During the tour you’ll discover how these Ohio-born artists, exhibiting together for the first time, created their installations featured in HERE. Goodson will illuminate how the artists use image, material, language, and process to cultivate new connections to our surroundings.

More about the curator

Over the past 15 years, as Director of Exhibitions at CCAD’s Beeler Gallery and James Cohan Gallery, New York, and as Senior Curator of Exhibitions at the Wex, Michael Goodson has organized single-artist exhibitions by Diana Al-Hadid, Charles Atlas, Leonardo Drew, Trenton Doyle Hancock, Jessica Jackson Hutchins, Donald Moffett, Carrie Moyer, Roxy Paine, Yinka Shonibare, Robert Smithson, and Fred Tomaselli, among many others. Group shows during this time include Inherent Structure, Gray Matters, My Crippled Friend, Sitter, and WALL. Between 2002 and 2011, Goodson taught sculpture, performance, and installation art at Hunter College, New York. He has also taught studio classes and art history at Wittenberg University, Wright State University, and the University of Dayton. He holds an MFA in sculpture from Cranbrook Academy of Art.
