Don't miss this double feature of entertaining and groundbreaking “sisters are doing it for themselves" classics handpicked (and introduced) by I Saw What You Did podcasters Millie De Chirico and Danielle Henderson! 

First up is 9 to 5, which sees three office workers (Jane Fonda, Dolly Parton, and Lily Tomlin) scheme up a revenge plot against their sexist, egotistical, and hypocritical boss (Dabney Coleman). Fueled by Parton’s propulsive theme song (“It’s enough to drive you crazy if you let it!”), 80s fashions, and a witty screenplay, 9 to 5 still resonates as a foundational #MeToo text. (110 mins., DCP)

Thelma (Geena Davis) and Louise (Susan Sarandon) go on a fishing trip to get a break from their dead-end relationships and end up taking out a would-be rapist. The rest of this gutsy movie follows their road trip running from the law and heading toward one of the most memorable endings of the 1990s. Featuring Harvey Keitel, a star-making performance from Brad Pitt, and an Oscar winning screenplay by Callie Khouri. (128 mins., DCP)
