Programmed in partnership with Art Possible Ohio, this ReelAbilities screening chronicles director Marc Schiller’s career promoting art and his path toward recovery after suffering a stroke.

With the help of his family, communications expert Schiller documented his healing journey following a stroke that left him with a language disorder known as aphasia and some cognitive deficits. The film captures the love surrounding him as he recovers, along with his extensive career in the New York art scene advancing street art, music, and film. (90 mins., DCP)

After the screening, participate in Deaf Café, a cross-disability community gallery tour and artmaking session. Learn more about Deaf Café—registration is limited!
