Oscar winner Jennifer Connelly stars as a bug-controlling girl determined to stop a string of gruesome murders in a picturesque Swiss girls’ school.
Regarded by many as one of Argento’s strangest films (and that’s saying something), Phenomena features an early leading role by Jennifer Connelly as Jennifer Corvino, a teenage telepath at a Swiss boarding school who has a special connection with insects. The area is being terrorized by a serial killer, and Jennifer teams with a local entomologist (Donald Pleasence) and his chimpanzee assistant to channel her powers into solving the murders. An edited version was released as Creepers in the United States. In English, Italian, Swiss German, and Danish with English subtitles. (116 mins., 4K DCP)
The screening is introduced by horror film fan Scott Woods, a Columbus-based poet, cultural critic, essayist, and founder of the arts nonprofit Streetlight Guild.

Please note: The films in this series include scenes of violence, horror gore, and other disturbing images.
