Sediments

(Adrián Silvestre, 2021)

Midwest Premiere

several persons in a mountainous area

Sediments is a captivating exploration of love, identity, collectivity, and individuality through the eyes of six Spanish trans women as they gather for a weekend getaway.

Following them to a cabin in the countryside of León, the documentary follows the group as they investigate the region’s unique landscapes as well as the strata of their own lives and backgrounds. The personalities of these distinctive and memorable women emerge as they bond over their similarities and begin to appreciate their differences—and their stories will linger with you long after the movie is over. In Spanish with English subtitles. (89 mins., DCP)
