Enjoy low-cost, family-friendly screenings along with special deals in the days ahead
We're excited to kick off the holiday season with some special treats for guests. Here's what's happening. Don't forget, short-term parking is available in a small lot on N. High Street, adjacent to Mershon Auditorium, and a reduced parking fee of $2 is available at the Ohio Union and Arps garages for anyone attending exhibitions or events at the Wex. Just ask about that discount at the Visitor Experience Desk when you enter the building.

Why get caught up in Black Friday chaos when you can sit back in our Film/Video Theater and experience this wondrous Steven Spielberg classic? We'll present the 1998 director's cut of this 1977 tale of alien encounters, starring Richard Dreyfuss and Melinda Dillon as two bewildered people brought together by a shared experience and French New Wave pioneer François Truffaut as a scientist trying to make sense of it all. The film screens Friday, November 24 at 1 PM and tickets are just $3.
The Wex is taking part in the global initiative to highlight the uniquely curated selection of gift ideas available at art institutions. Stop by and shop on Sunday, November 26, and you'll receive an in-store discount of 30 percent for members and 20 percent for everyone else. We'll be open 11 AM–5 PM.
There are lots of ways to give to the Wex, but our holiday flash sale on Ambassador-level memberships is a great excuse to give yourself or a friend a year's worth of discounts and members-only events. Cyber Monday, you can purchase this level of Wex membership for 35 percent off.

For the first event in our annual celebration of books and films for all ages, we have Wolfgang Petersen's beloved 1984 fable about the power of one child to keep an entire magical world alive, presented in 35mm. The 7 PM screening on Friday, December 8 is also a discounted screening with a $3 ticket price for all. Check out more of what's in store at this year's Zoom.
