Trailers: films by Michael Schultz

Called "a well-researched history of frustrations, defiance, and bold dreams," by Kirkus Reviews, Wil Haygood's new book Colorization: One Hundred Years of Black Films in a White World, chronicles "the long struggle for Black Americans to matter in movies."

We're so excited to collaborate with institutions around Columbus on a suite of programs prompted by Haygood's book, and to host the author and veteran filmmaker Michael Schultz on Monday, October 18 as part of a retrospective of Schultz's work. From October 14 to the 19th, we'll present five screenings, a conversation, and a directing master class with Schultz for students. All the details are here.
