Get a behind-the-scenes look at the history of animation at NBCUniversal—including the DreamWorks catalogue—from archivist Chase Schulte.

DreamWorks Animation has produced some of the most memorable and beloved animated films of the past 25 years. From Antz and The Prince of Egypt (both 1998) to the Academy Award–winning Shrek (2001) to recent hits such as Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022), the studio continues to release animation hits that please critics and audiences of all ages.

In this presentation, Chase Schulte, Ohio State alum and manager of Physical Archive Operations at NBCUniversal—which acquired DreamWorks Animation in 2016—discusses the history of the studio and some of its most popular films, as well as some examples of past animated films released by Universal. A Q&A session follows the talk. (60 mins.)
