Continue your DreamWorks and Cartoon Crossroads journey with this beautifully animated, heartwarming tale that’s a must see on the big screen.
On the Viking island of Berk, the villagers are under the constant threat of dragons who steal their animals and torment the town. The village chieftain’s son Hiccup (voiced by Jay Baruchel) desperately wants to join the fight against the dragons, but his father (Gerard Butler) thinks he is too feeble. Hiccup secretly joins the fight and manages to down a young dragon with one of his numerous inventions but can’t bring himself to kill it. Hiccup dubs the dragon “Toothless,” and as they learn more about each other they realize they must work together to overcome each side’s ignorance and fear of each other. Based on the popular children’s book series by Cressida Cowell. (98 mins., 35mm)
